Phosphoric acid functionalized pre-sintered meso-silica for high temperature proton exchange membrane fuel cells.
An inorganic proton exchange membrane based on sintered mesoporous silica and phosphoric acid was developed with a high proton conductivity of 0.06 S cm(-1) at 200 °C, achieving an excellent power output of 689 mW cm(-2) in H2 at 190 °C and 200 mW cm(-2) in methanol at 200 °C with no external humidification.

Ti(4+)-EPO nanoparticles were adopted as the adsorbent for in situ solid phase enrichment and isotope labeling of endogenous phosphopeptides, which has great potential application in high-throughput analyses of biological samples for screening and discovery of disease-specific biomarkers.
متن کاملInsight into proton transfer in phosphotungstic acid functionalized mesoporous silica-based proton exchange membrane fuel cells.
We have developed for fuel cells a novel proton exchange membrane (PEM) using inorganic phosphotungstic acid (HPW) as proton carrier and mesoporous silica as matrix (HPW-meso-silica) . The proton conductivity measured by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy is 0.11 S cm(-1) at 90 °C and 100% relative humidity (RH) with a low activation energy of ∼14 kJ mol(-1). In order to determine the energ...
متن کاملHigh frequency sonoluminescence in sulphuric acid and phosphoric acid
Multibubblesonoluminescence (MBSL) emission spectra at different forcing frequencies ( 20, 580, 850 KHz and 1.1 MHz) in Sulphuric acid and Phosphoric acid, under different noble gases atmosphere ( Ar, Xe and He) have been investigated. Using lower frequency we observed the presence of new emissions lines which may indicate the formation of ionized species with very high energy level inside the ...
متن کاملAqueous-sensitive reaction sites in sulfonic acid-functionalized mesoporous silicas
Local differences in surface hydrophilicities/hydrophobicities of propyland arene-sulfonic-acid modified mesoporous silica and organosilica catalysts have been compared and correlated with their bulk catalytic properties for aqueous-sensitive organic reactions. Syntheses of propyland arene-SO3H-modified mesoporous silicas and organosilicas yield materials with different hydrophilicities, especi...
